This page is dedicated to presenting geologic challenges to the theory that nearly all of the geologic layers and features were the result of a year-long worldwide Flood.  The Bible says that God's attributes and His nature are clearly seen and understood through what He has made (Romans 1:20).  When we look at the Creation, we should see the Creator.  But we need to look at the Creation correctly in order to see His attributes and nature correctly.  If we look at it with ill-founded preconceived notions, we will get a faulty and misleading impression of Him and His nature.  Basically, if the Flood is responsible for all the geologic layers of the earth, we should be able to go anywhere on earth and see evidence.  Likewise, if it is not responsible for all of the strata on earth, then we should be able go anywhere on earth and see evidence supporting that as well.

If you are a Young-Earth Creationist who adheres to a catastrophic worldwide Flood, this is not meant to be a stumbling block to your faith, but rather a chance to re-evaluate the evidence both scientific and biblically as it appears on the other pages of this site.  It is important to realize and remember the Bible never makes the claim that the earth is only 6,000 years old.  Likewise it never claims that all of the geologic layers are the result of Noah's Flood.  These are purely man-made interpretations.

If you are not a Christian, this page is meant to show you that these geologic examples are complementary to the biblical acounts detailed on the other pages of this site, and this is a chance to re-evaluate your view of the Creator.

*Note: I do believe in a literal, historical year-long Flood, but its geologic effects as presented in the Bible and nature are insignificant.  This in no way minimizes its effect on humanity or its complete fullfilment of its purpose as outlined in Scripture.  To understand the Flood according to Scripture; its purpose, extent and effects, please visit the Flood page on this site.
